Our Movement Continues
Community leaders and others founded the Franklin Park Defenders to advocate for Franklin Park and raise concerns about constitutional and public trust protections related to the proposed redevelopment of White Stadium as a professional soccer facility.
Since becoming active, the Franklin Park Defenders have grown to include more than 1,000 community members and 38 neighborhood organizations, representing a broad and diverse network of people who care deeply about the future of Franklin Park. The Defenders’ community leaders continue to meet, organize, conduct outreach, and advocate for the park and the communities that use it.
While the lawsuit over the proposed White Stadium redevelopment has concluded, the Franklin Park Defenders remain an active, community-led group. The relationships, engagement, and momentum built over the past three years provide a strong foundation for continued community involvement and advocacy for Franklin Park.

White Stadium & Franklin Park Legal Update: Decision Reached
On August 19, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the White Stadium parcel is not subject to our state’s constitutional public recreation land protection laws. We remain deeply grateful to the many organizations and individuals contributing to the advocacy and protection of Franklin Park. While the lawsuit has concluded, the ongoing community concerns have not.
